1st Paper – ideas: tree, money, or gift certificate.
2nd Cotton – idea: monogrammed cotton towels or robes
3rd Leather – idea: matching watches (with leather bands), slippers, brief case, nice new purse or wallet, etc.
4th Silk, fruit, or flowers – idea: crate of fruit, or flowers each month for a year!
5th Wood – idea: golf woods, bed trays, chair or rocker. OR a hike through the woods?
6th Iron or candy – ideas: more golf club (irons), box of chocolates
7th Copper or wool – ideas: cuddle up under a wool stadium blanket, or wool sweater, copper pots, or tea kettle filled with goodies would be nice!
8th Bronze – idea; bronze something special. take a winding drive though a wooded area during the fall, and catch the changing leaves (bronze, reds, etc)!
9th Pottery – idea: a pottery class together, or hit a Pottery Barn!
10th Tin or aluminum – idea: pie tins filled with a favorite pie!
11th Steel – idea: good ole’ car? Or “steal” away that second honeymoon! or go check out an old car show or museum?
12th Linen or silk – idea: matching silk pajamas. Maybe a trip to China.
13th Lace – idea: set the table with an antique lace table cloth, and enjoy a romantic dinner!
14th Ivory – idea: ivory keys of a piano, or go tot a concert!
15th Crystal – idea: set of crystal goblets & a bottle of wine (from the year you married?) a crystal frame framing a favorite memory photo! Or visit the Crystal Caverns in PA?
20th China – idea: Chinese food for dinner, make Chinese fortune cookies, or find some great china pieces to make dinners extra special
25th Silver – idea: take a stroll under the silvery moon, perhaps have a photo taken and place in a silver frame
30th Pearl – idea: hide a present in a oyster during a special dinner! Or go “clamming” or oysters at the beach?
35th Coral or jade – idea: take a special island trip, and enjoy the coral sunsets.
40th Ruby – idea: Make a “Ruby Tuesday” year, and visit a different restaurant every Tuesday !
45th Sapphire – idea: enjoy the blues of the water, go scuba diving, or a cruise?
50th Gold – idea: where else trip out to California, and maybe prospect for gold, or visit and old mining town?
55th Emerald – idea: Visit the country of Emerald green beauty.. Ireland!
60th Diamonds – idea: go north & enjoy the rich color of the Aurora Borealis, like the way a diamond sparkles!
75th– and it is Diamonds again!!
Some Other Anniversary Ideas:
- Buy a case of wine, label each to be opened at each anniversary, or special events: first child, new home, and a major anniversary such as a 25th anniversary!
- Celebrate your first year… plant a tree or bush each month! Or As a special annual event?
